Carrefour’s own brand goods will also increase
The French chain Carrefour already has its first five stores in Bulgaria. Three of them are supermarkets in busy urban areas – two stores in Sofia and Carrefour Market in Burgas, g.k. “Lazur” bl. 135, next to the Sea Garden. The smaller Carrefour Express format is represented by two stores in Varna – at ul. “Carrefour has two new stores, one at 69 Vasil Drumev Blvd. “Tsar Osvoboditel” 25 (next to the hotel “Orbita”). A seasonal Carrefour Express store is also to open soon in Sunny Beach, replacing the Aldo brand. It is expected that the chain in Bulgaria will continue to grow, with around 30 Carrefour stores by the end of the year.
In the current transformation phase, the product portfolio is still being refined to best meet the needs of Bulgarian consumers. Every week, however, Carrefour delights its customers with new promotional offers.
Among the special offers are the brand’s own products. At the moment, Carrefour’s own-brand offers are around 300 items, and soon the number will reach 700. In the next 3 years, according to Vassilis Stasinoulias, co-founder and CEO of Retail & More, Carrefour will offer Bulgarian customers almost 1,500 quality products at affordable prices under its own brand.
